HotLap is a modern, mobile-first community platform for car and bike enthusiasts in India, designed for everyone with an engine — cars, bikes, electric vehicles, off-road builds, classics, and motorsport. We're building a home for long-form ownership reviews, travelogues, group ride coordination, structured garages, and a directory of trusted independent mechanics and shops.

The platform is being built in phases: a web forum and structured garage first, native mobile apps next, then group-ride live tracking and live hazard reporting. It is India-first, designed for global expansion, mobile-first by default, and chronological — no algorithmic feed. HotLap is being built for the next two decades of enthusiast culture the way Team-BHP captured the last two.

    Team-BHP earned a generation of trust over twenty years with long-form expertise, but its mobile experience and group-ride coordination are limited, and it was acquired by Cars24 in 2025. Reddit's algorithmic feed is built for time-on-site rather than community signal. HotLap is mobile-first, chronological by default, with structured garages, route planning, and group-ride coordination built into the core.

    Yes. Reading and posting will be free forever. We plan to introduce a Member tier (₹499/yr) and a Pro tier (₹1,999/yr) for advanced features once the community is mature. No advertising — community trust comes first.
